Why you should see this show…

This six-piece UK based, high energy, jive and swing band, formed in 1989. They were the winners of BBC TV’s Opportunity Knocks, and Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists in 2012. The band is widely recognized as one of the top swing bands in the world, and the June 2015 issue of “Vintage Rock” magazine described them as the “UK’s number one jive and swing band.”

The Jive Aces Bio
The Jive Aces are the UK’s No.1 Jive & Swing band and are renowned worldwide for their high-energy swinging music, brilliant musicianship and spectacular stage show. This highly in-demand sextet average 300 shows a year and have performed for HM The Queen as well as working with Van Morrison and John Travolta. They’ve sold out the Royal Albert Hall and have graced stages in 40 countries, including shows at Buckingham Palace, London Olympics and Glastonbury Festival, where they just appeared for the fourth time, on the prestigious Acoustic Stage.

Influences include Louis Prima, Bobby Darin, Big Joe Turner and Louis Jordan. They feature such classics as: “When You’re Smiling,” “Mack The Knife,” “Sing, Sing, Sing” as well as songs from their hot new album, Diggin’ The Roots.

They were the first live band to reach the live final rounds of Britain’s Got Talent (seen by over 20 million) and other TV includes Alan Titchmarsh Show, Strictly Come Dancing, Children in Need and Good Day Los Angeles. They are regularly played on both local and national radio, BBC Radio 2 in particular. Their award-winning music video, “Bring Me Sunshine,” is a viral hit with over 3 million views on Youtube. It has been hailed as one of the most uplifting videos of recent times and has even been prescribed by a doctor in Seattle!
