    How to Pitch a Film

Whether you have finished your film already or are getting ready to shoot one with film festivals in mind, just remember there is an art to submitting to film festivals. At this month’s Film Café, Conrad Miles and Chris Webb discuss the process what they went through to prep for the IF/THEN Tribecca film Institute (a non-profit that provides funding and mentorship for filmmakers) for CIFF and give a little background of their work and how they got to where they are today.

    Conrad Miles and Chris Webb

Conrad Miles is a dancer, filmmaker, drone operator, and content creator from Cleveland, Ohio. His first original film, Bullied has garnered hundreds of thousands of views on social media platforms. Conrad travels nationally to give unique perspectives to artists with international acclaim. As a dancer, Conrad’s skills are rarely matched. He is a frequent winner of Krump competitions, traveling internationally to compete at some of the highest levels of the genre. Conrad brings passion, insight, and thought-provoking perspective to his work, and wants to showcase unique stories in new and provocative ways.

Chris Webb works between many different mediums to bring messages of hope, faith, and encouragement to people on an international level. Recently Chris was honored as a Creative Community Fellow with National Arts Strategies (2014-’15), he was awarded $5k as a finalist of the Cleveland Leadership Center’s “Accelerate” competition (2015), and has most recently been awarded $15k as a Creative Workforce Fellow with both the Community Partnership for Arts and Culture, and Cuyahoga Arts and Culture (2016).
