    Story topic this week…

The Land Before Time – From the Dinosaurs Through the Glaciers
At the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, the goal is to tell the story of Earth and its inhabitants, regardless of whether they are alive today or they walked the planet many millions of years ago. During this Cleveland Stories episode, Chief Wildlife Officer and Museum Ambassador Harvey Webster will tell us the history of The Land before time, dating back to some of the finest fossils 363 million years ago.

    Harvey B. Webster Bio

Harvey B. Webster is a naturalist, educator, wildlife biologist, conservationist as well as a lifelong museum enthusiast. His work seeks to raise awareness about the natural history and science of our region, connect people with nature and help inspire a conservation ethic for a sustainable future. He has been on the staff of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History since 1974. He currently serves as Chief Wildlife Officer & Museum Ambassador.

In addition to his managerial duties, he presents educational programs on Ohio’s wildlife, natural history and conservation. Webster frequently promotes the natural sciences on regional television and radio stations. He was host and script consultant of the Emmy Award nominated ‘Dino-stories’ on WVIZ in the early 90s, a series of shorts on local vertebrate paleontology. He currently hosts the Museum’s Explorer lecture series as well as the Wild & Scenic Film Festival.

The goal of the Cleveland Stories Dinner Party is to bring to life some of the fun, interesting stories about Cleveland’s past – from sports, to rock ‘n roll, to Millionaire’s Row, — the series will focus on tidbits from Cleveland’s past that will really thrill the audience. The Music Box is presenting this series in partnership with the Western Reserve Historical Society’s new Cleveland History Center. We think the Cleveland History Center is one of the most important museums in Cleveland. An unknown gem that Clevelanders should know more about, and support. It is the only museum in Cleveland dedicated to preserving and documenting the history of Cleveland. The Cleveland History Center includes two mansions, the Crawford Auto Aviation Museum, Chisholm Halle Costume Wing, Research Library, Kidzibits Hands-On Gallery, rotating exhibitions, and the Euclid Beach Park Grand Carousel.
