The Black Donnellys Bio
For nearly five days, Dave Browne strummed at his guitar in the Temple Bar in Dublin. When it was over he was the new Guinness World Record Holder for a marathon guitar playing of 114 hours. At that point, he probably could’ve used a Guinness beer.

In October of 2014, The Black Donnellys broke the world record for the longest gig, playing for 16 days (372 hours) with multiple artists at Rí Rá Las Vegas, where the band continues to perform and continues to attract music lovers.

The Black Donnellys, who also feature lead singer/guitarist Dave Rooney, voted singer-songwriter of the year in 2012, were based in Temple Bar before taking their high energy act to Las Vegas. Their lively performances were just what the atmosphere called for on Fleet Street in Dublin.

The boys have written/recorded and shared a stage with some great Irish artists including Terry woods (The Pogues), Ronnie Drew (The Dubliners), Derek Warfield (Young Wolfe Tones), George Murphy (The High Kings), Liam Reilly (Bagatelle), Christy Dignam (ASLAN), and The Dubliners.

He has performed and toured since the age of 16 playing several thousand shows across the United States, as well touring in Ireland with Marys Lane in 2017.

In South Florida at 16 years of age, Brent began playing with a few different Grateful Dead cover bands, a reggae band, and other rock & roll acts. He remained there until he was 25 when he met his wife Brittany Reilly and began to play music with her. The Brittany Reilly Band peformed 4-5 days a week year round , covering cities in California to Vermont. Their project performs a wide variey of music from Classic Country & Bluegrass to Rock & Roll & Blues.

In 2010 Brent & Brittany moved back to her hometown of Bay Village, located on the West Side of Cleveland, OH. This is where Brent met with the band Marys Lane, filling in some shows and eventually joining the band full time in 2016. Marys Lane is a 6 piece Celtic Rock band with a wide variety of original songs & high energy Irish rock tunes. They actively perform nationally, 30-40 shows a year. This is also where the project West Awake was formed, made up of 3 members from Marys Lane, which currently perform close to 100 shows a year, up and down the East Coast, and branching out to many other regions in 2019!

With a strong passion for music and creating organic experiences on stage, Achill Crossing is an avenue for Brent to perform with different talented musicians, making it truly a one of a kind experience. With family hailing from Achill Island in Ireland, Brittany enjoys joining Brent on the road as often as possible.
